Membership

To carry out its work, the Trust needs to raise funds. The main sources of income are the Friends of the Trust, donations and legacies and a number of activities and events, in particular, the Annual Sponsored Bike Ride (see News and Events for further information).

To encourage and promote these income streams the Trust actively promotes access to the Churches of Suffolk. Individuals, parishes, church communities and local businesses are all most welcome as Friends of the Trust. The Trust has also been working closely with churches to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.

Membership of the Friends of the Trust is the basic building block of the fundraising because, not only does this produce an income in its own right but it also broadens the net though which the trust can promote its other events.

All churches, PCCs businesses and individuals are welcome as Friends of the Trust.

Membership provides access to all the Trust events, the periodic newsletter and, importantly for churches and chapels, the waiving of the 2% administrative charge levied for the processing of grant applications.
